A newly-formed musical ensemble comprised entirely of BWH physicians, called the "Cardiotonics," serenaded patients and staff throughout the Shapiro Cardiovascular Center inpatient floors on Christmas Day. Many patients and families joined them in singing their holiday favorites. At the request of patients and staff, the Cardiotonics plan to perform annually, establishing a new Brigham holiday tradition. From left: Residents Brittany Teague Weber, MD, PhD, Joshua Class, MD, Avery LaChance, MD, MPH, and Ramsey Saba, MD, Cardiovascular Medicine senior physician Thomas Michel, MD, PhD, who brought the group together, and residents Chase Yarbrough, MD, and Yian Xiao, MD, MBA, pose with 7-year-old Kymani Myer, the granddaughter of a Shapiro patient.
