The Brigham and Women’s Physicians Organization is the beginning phases of its Strategic Planning Process, which will direct activity for the next three to five years.
The plan is slated to focus on four main areas. Those areas include modifying billing processes to increase revenue; improving quality of work life for physicians; re-engineering the BWPO’s primary care and specialty practices; and specialty development, including relationships with referring physicians and satellite BWPO practices.
Physicians have been solicited to be part of the planning process. Currently, teams are being formed to discuss each of the four areas. Action plans will then be decided upon and discussed at a retreat scheduled for the spring.
