BWH is now accepting applications for two Minority Faculty Career Development Awards
This award, in its seventh year, is designed to select talented under-represented minority physician trainees early in their careers (housestaff/early fellowship) and help them obtain and develop the skills needed to secure a faculty position at Harvard Medical School and BWH. Each awardee will receive an allowance of $150,000 that can be applied to enhance career development. Interested individuals should contact their department chair or division chief. Applications are due May 31 and the recipients will be announced in July.
- A departmental nominating letter outlining the applicant’s qualifications and a plan for his or her career development. This should include a commitment to provide him or her with a faculty position at BWH during the tenure of the award.
- Two additional letters of recommendation from faculty who are familiar with the applicant and his or her academic potential and accomplishments.
- A brief statement (two-page limit) from the applicant regarding how he or she plans to develop his or her academic career and how the award will assist him or her with their plans.
- An updated curriculum vitae.
Applications are due May 31 and the recipients will be announced in July.
