The hospital’s iBridge project, which includes the new and improved PeopleSoft HR/Payroll system and Kronos timekeeping system, undergoes the first phase of implementation this fall.
The name iBridge—chosen because the system will act as an “information bridge” between employees and their HR information needs—connects many of the hospital’s HR functions, making access to benefits and payroll information easier and more efficient.
The web-based system will eliminate HR paper transactions and streamline many labor-intensive processes, saving time and effort for managers and others. Employees will be able to perform routine tasks, such as address changes, and managers will be able to access HR information directly from their desktops. Managers also will be able to track the status of various transactions independently, rather than relying on a third party for information.
In preparation for the fall rollout, managers, supervisors and timekeepers are currently undergoing training. All employees will receive Employee Self Service (ESS) training in the late fall. To learn more about iBridge or to register on-line for classes, visit www.bwhpikenotes.org.
