If you visited the Boston Public Library during the month of September you may have seen some familiar faces. The photo exhibit “Beautiful Minds: Boston’s Intellectuals Through the Bachrach Lens,” was displayed throughout the month and paid tribute to Boston’s outstanding intellectuals. Bachrach studios identified the individuals included in the exhibit by inviting local members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences to participate. The studio then asked those who accepted the invitation to help identify other intellectual leaders throughout the city. In its summary of the exhibit, Bachrach refers to the individuals in the exhibit as heroes responsible for teaching young people to think rationally, find cures for diseases or compose music for future generations to enjoy.
