BWH Town Meeting November 15 at 11 a.m.
Daylight Saving Time Ends Don’t forget to turn back your clocks back one hour at night on Saturday, October 28. Daylight Savings Time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday. Blood Donor Center Halloween Party Stop by the Blood Donor Center (2nd floor on the Pike, next to Bornstein Amphitheater and across from the 45 Francis St. entrance) on October 31 to donate blood or platelets, and receive a free Cafeteria coupon. Various gifts will be given to all successful donors. Walk-ins accepted. Platelet donors should call ext. 6620 to schedule an appointment. Schwarz Rounds—November 2 Carrie M. Hall Conference Room 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The Schwartz Rounds will bring together an interdisciplinary team to look at issues that relate to the emotional, psychosocial and spiritual dynamics that affect health care providers in caring for people who are sick or dying. Lunch will be served. All BWH caregivers are welcome. For more information, call the Ethics Service at ext. 8590. TB and Flu Reminders Quarterly TB screening for employees with birthdays in October, November and December will be in the Connors Center lobby on November 4-12 from 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m. In addition, walk-in hours for TB screening in the Occupational Health Services (OHS) clinics are 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Monday-Wednesday and Friday. Also, employee flu vaccines will be administered through OHS from November 4-12 from 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Connors Center lobby. After November 12, the vaccine will be given in the OHS clinics from 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Call ext. 6034 for more information on TB screenings and/or flu vaccines.
