In a continual effort to add convenience to its employees, BWH announces the following options for commuters: • Starting February 12, BWH will offer a new shuttle service between BWH and the Renaissance Garage, located near Northeastern University on Huntington Avenue. From 5:30 to 9:30 a.m., BWH employees assigned parking in the Renaissance Place Garage, can now take advantage of BWH-direct shuttles to the hospital every 15 minutes. Likewise, from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m., shuttles on the same schedule will be available to transport employees back to the Renaissance Garage. During midday (9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.) and late evening (6:30-9 p.m.) hours, service will be available via the Longwood Express. • A new stop has been added to certain trains on the Framingham/Worcester Commuter Rail. Now, inbound Train #500 will stop at Yawkee Station at 6:52 a.m., Train #504 will arrive at Yawkee at 7:37 a.m., Train #520 will arrive at 2:35 p.m. and #524 will arrive at 6:05 p.m. Also, outbound trains #511, 515, 519 and 529 will also stop at 11:08 a.m., 2:55 p.m., 4:38 p.m. and 6:23 p.m. respectively. MASCO shuttles to and from the Longwood Medical Area are now available at the Kenmore Lot (located near Yawkee Station) to be used by any employee, visitor, student or patient of the LMA. • Increased shuttle service will be available in late March or early April between BWH and Faulkner sites. Shuttles will depart BWH to Faulkner at the top of each hour (6 a.m.-5 p.m.), while shuttles depart from Faulkner to BWH at the bottom of every hour (6:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.). When this goes into effect, the BWH/850 Boylston route will have a separate shuttle scheduled to run every 25 minutes. • A carpooling incentive is now being offered to those BWH employees who are existing on-site parkers. In addition to a reserved parking spot near the entrance of Mission Park Garage (MPG) day-shift four-person carpools receive free parking, while three and two-person carpools receive 75 and 50 percent discounts respectively on MPG parking fees. All evening-shift carpools (two or more employees) receive free parking. To sign up for the carpool program, call ext. 6334. If you have any questions about the above commuter options, call the Parking Office at ext. 5877.
