The kick-off celebration of Brookside Community Health Center’s Reach Out and Read program was held Wednesday, February 7. Volunteer readers from Wellesley and Belmont High Schools read to Brookside pediatric patients in the Center’s new reading room. The program consists of three parts—having pediatricians encourage parents to read aloud to their children, distributing free books to children during their visits to Brookside and having volunteers available to read to children in the waiting area.
