MHIMA Recognizes Wilson’s Professionalism
Georgette Wilson, manager, BWH’s Health Information Services, has been awarded a professional achievement award from the Massachusetts Health Information Management Association (MHIMA). This award is presented each year to a MHIMA member who demonstrates outstanding professionalism, creativity and dedication to the health information profession.
Employed by BWH since 1999, Wilson manages the hospital’s transcription, record completion and birth registry. She is an active member of MHIMA, serving as a team leader coordinating state meetings. Since receiving her bachelor’s degree in health information management from Northeastern University in 1999, Wilson also volunteers as a mentor and clinical preceptor for health information students.
