Happy 100th Birthday, Faulkner On December 5, Faulkner Hospital celebrated its 100th anniversary as 150 people gathered in the hospital’s Atrium Lobby amid visual displays of old photographs and memorabilia taken from the hospital's archives. David Trull (pictured below, right), president and CEO, Faulkner Hospital, kicked off the event with his welcoming remarks, introducing Jeffrey Otten, president, BWH, and speaking to the hospitals’ partnership and future success of Faulkner. He was followed by Mary Ann Tynan (pictured below, middle), Faulkner Hospital Board Chair who paid tribute to Faulkner's long and proud tradition of serving the community. Special guest Sanford Williams (pictured below, middle), a descendent of George Faulkner (founder of Faulkner Hospital, pictured, right) then shared some Faulkner family history and anecdotes. Dr. Alan Semine, President of the Medical Staff at Faulkner, officially sealed a time capsule that hospital employees put together to commemorate the anniversary and honored the medical staff for their dedication and commitment. Mayor Thomas M. Menino (pictured above), who has served on the Faulkner Hospital Board for many years, recognized the hospital's contribution by presenting a Proclamation. Mayor Menino also joined Eugenia Romanos, Faulkner Hospital Auxiliary President, in pressing the button to officially light the Faulkner Hospital Auxiliary Tree.
