Survey results produce action
At a December 1999 Town Meeting, the results of the first-ever staff survey were presented. Over the next two months, administrators worked to craft goals that reflect staff concerns and to devise an action plan to meet those goals. The plan to improve five aspects of BWH that employees felt needed most attention—leadership, quality patient care/customer service, communication, respect, and teamwork—will be presented to managers in the coming weeks and then to all employees. It includes opportunities for staff members at every level to get involved and shape the way BWH makes improvements. For more information about the plan and how to get involved, see upcoming issues of Bulletin.
