Howard L. Weiner, MD, Department of Neurology, celebrated the publication ofhis book, Curing MS, last Friday at a book-signing event, where he spoke about the challenges of creating the book, and the positive response after its publication.
“Patients love the book; they tell me it helps them understand the complex disease in a way they never did before. Fellow scientists and clinicians say it puts the disease in perspective, capturing the last 30 years of research on MS,” said Weiner.
Curing MS addresses two major questions—the possible cause and potential for a cure of this debilitating disease. Weiner covers these topics through personal accounts spanning nearly three decades of research and clinical practice.
