"The CWN Bereavement Committee is committed to providing compassionate care to families both in the hospital and as they return home and begin the grieving process associated with a pregnancy or newborn loss," said Caryn Douma, BSN, co-chair of the Center for Women and Newborns Bereavement Committee. "A memorial service is a way to provide both families and staff with a special time and place to remember their loss."
"It’s a way to celebrate the life that was and to relieve some of the grief the families are going through," added Paul Hughes, BWH Department of Newborn Medicine.
Staff are encouraged to attend. Please RSVP to Andrea Kelley at ext. 2-7872 or AMKelly3@partners.org.
