ED Hosts High School StudentsTobin Graduates Set to Work
When School is Out BWH Doors are Open
BWH has been busy at work this summer nurturing the community service portion of the hospital mission.
In July alone, two programs were kicked off to benefit youth in Boston and more distant cities. One was the eighth generation of Tobin Transition Summer Jobs Program at BWH. The program brings eighth-grade Tobin graduates to the hospital for summer employment as they embark on their transition from middle school to high school.
And visiting BWH was a group of high-achieving junior and senior high school students from across the United States, who were exploring careers in health care. Hosted by the Emergency Department, some 150 participants in the National Youth Leadership Forum have come through the hospital hallways and visited with numerous staff members.
