BWH has been recognized as one of the top 15 connected health care facilities in the country from the October issue of Health Imaging and IT magazine. The magazine, which rated facilities on successful implementation of a broad range of information technology initiatives related to medical imaging, ranked BWH within the 90th percentile in regards to physicians’ access to electronic imaging information.
“Our investment in this electronic sharing of information has enabled the hospital to better provide point-of-care access to imaging information,” said Steven Seltzer, MD, chair, Department of Radiology. “Continued successful implementation of these information technology solutions will enable us to reach our vision of a film-less, paper-less, and most importantly error-less enterprise for medical imaging,” he added.
“The recognition underscores BWH’s leadership in imaging infrastructure,” said Sue Schade, chief information officer, BWH.
