BWH is a well-known leader in women’s health care including high-risk pregnancies involving multiple births. In addition to serving as one of the region’s largest birthing centers with more than 10,000 babies delivered annually, last year that number included 35 sets of triplets.
As a fitting symbol, BWH became a gathering place for these families and others who are members of Triplets, Moms and More (TMM), a support and information group for families with multiples. More than 150 children attended TMM’s annual holiday party held in the Cabot Atrium on Sunday.
David Acker, MD, chief, BWH’s Obstetrics and Gynecology, served as the event’s master of ceremony. “This is a wonderful opportunity to reunite with former patients, share experiences and marvel at how wonderfully well all of these beautiful children are growing,” added Acker.
