Seven-year-old Jenny Friedman has a lot of heart. Thanks to her, many cancer patients received handmade Valentines decorated with drawings, construction paper hearts and cheerful messages. Jenny, a second grader at Sharon Heights Elementary School and daughter of Nurse Administrator Cathy Friedman, asked her teacher if she and her classmates could make the cards for BWH's cancer patients. Jenny delivered dozens of carefully crafted cards to Volunteer Services Feb. 13, and volunteer ambassadors distributed them to Tower-5 Oncology patients on Valentine's Day. "This is so special," said Leslie Stewart, a coordinator in Volunteer Services. "We don't have anything else like this for Valentine's Day."
