Portions of Francis Street will be closed Saturday, Feb. 17, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., while construction crews install the steel frame for the connector bridge between 75 Francis St. and the Shapiro Center. The section of Francis Street from Binney Street to St. Alban’s Road will be closed and traffic will be rerouted to Vining Street. The Center for Nursing Excellence’s Office of Patient and Family Education offers a two-day interactive workshop on effective communication and patient education to all nurses and clinicians involved in patient education. The two-day workshop is March 1 and 16, 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., at One Brigham Circle, room 4-004F. Participants receive 11 CEUs upon completion of the two days. Julie Ginn Moretz, of the Institute for Family Centered Care in Bethesda, Md., presents “Listen and Be Led…Creating a Partnership for Quality and Safety.” The presentation is Feb. 13, noon – 1 p.m., in the Anesthesia Conference Room, CWN-L1.
