Dr. Peter Black drew a standing-room only audience to his discussion on his new book at a Kessler Library BookTalk Monday. Many patients attended, including A.J. Kirwan, above.
In the Kessler Library’s most well-attended BookTalk to date, Chief Neurosurgeon Peter M. Black, MD, on Monday spoke about the inspiration behind his new book, “Living with a Brain Tumor.” The library was filled with those eager to hear Black’s message for patients, their families and friends and the doctors, nurses and professionals who treat, comfort and advise them.
Having cared for thousands of patients with brain tumors, Black drew on years of experience and personal interaction for this book, which equips patients with the tools they need to address a brain tumor diagnosis and the issues associated with this disease.
Copies of the book are available on loan from the Kessler Library in the Bretholtz Center for Patients and Families and for purchase in the Friends of BWH Gift Shop.
