Editor’s Note
On October 18, more than 200 Partners researchers gathered at a symposium to celebrate the opening of the new proteomics facility at the Harvard Medical School-Partners HealthCare Center for Genetics and Genomics. Located at the Partners research building at 65 Landsdowne Street in Cambridge, the facility links basic scientists, clinical investigators, and clinicians with the latest technology to improve care for patients. The symposium featured presentations by two of the world’s foremost proteomics researchers. The new Partners proteomics facility is one of the largest of its kind in academia and opens at a key turning point, as the field shifts from basic science to clinical application. Through innovative partnerships with industry, the facility incorporates the latest research technology.
