Recruiters and other HR staff are available at the 2007 Employee Career Fair to discuss open positions, the transfer process and career path options. Employees can meet one-on-one with a recruiter to discuss requirements for specific positions. Walk-ins are welcome, but employees are encouraged to register in advance via PeopleSoft SelfServe using course number BWHECF. The fair is Thursday, May 17, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., in the Cabot Atrium. BWH clinicians are invited to a Smoking Cessation Training workshop to learn strategies to help patients quit smoking. Participants will be certified as smoking cessation training counselors according to guidelines established by the University of Pittsburgh and Yale University. The last book in the popular Harry Potter series is slated to be released July 21. Pre-order copies through The Friends of BWH at a discounted price of $21.99 from May 7 to July 2 at the BWH Gift Shop, where the books will be ready for pick up July 23 with sales receipt. Send your kids to the BWH Backup Child Care Center June 18 – 22 and 25 – 29, 6:30 a.m. – 5:45 p.m. Programs are geared towards children ages 5 to 12. Events include rock painting, bingo, bowling and dance performances. Make reservations by phone at ext. 2-9543 or in person. The cost is $275 per week or $60 per child per day.
