Bright Chinese lanterns and colorful artwork decorated the second-floor mezzanine by the Shop on the Pike for BWH’s Feb. 4 celebration of the Chinese New Year, hosted by Chaplaincy, Human Resources, Interpreter Services and the Center for Faculty Development and Diversity. BWHers stopped by to sample traditional candies and dumplings, while enjoying the beautiful music of classically trained musicians, including co-host Yue Lin, Nankuai Modege, Julia Glenn, Jiayin Li and Dehua Zheng. Above: BWHers look on as calligrapher John Tsui (above), of the Greater Boston Chinese Golden Age Center, draws elegant Chinese characters for each visitor to his table.
Classically trained Chinese musicians Qingen Ke and Yun Xia (seated, playing the "pipa," or Chinese lute) perform as part of BWH's Chinese New Year celebration.
