After a brief break, ClimbClub, ClimbCorps' organized stair climbing program, is back in action and welcomes all Brigham employees interested in getting active and improving their health. The program is suitable for all fitness levels and meets on Tuesdays, from 7 to 8 a.m., Wednesdays, from 11 a.m. to noon, and Thursdays, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., in the first-floor lobby of Shapiro. The program also meets Mondays, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesdays, from 5 to 5:30 p.m., and Fridays, from 7:30 to 8 a.m., at BWFH.
ClimbCorps also welcomes its newest team members, who will help guide staff at BWH and BWFH during climb sessions and provide education about the importance of heart health. Peter Siclari, a Rhode Island native who completed a post-baccalaureate premedical program at Worcester State in May; Elizabeth "Ellie" Deshaies, a graduate of Northeastern University and an avid cyclist; and Audra Hite, a UMass Boston graduate who plans to become a surgical physician assistant, are now part of the BWH/BWFH ClimbCorps family.
