Attention Homebuyers and Homeowners: BWPO Negotiates for Attractive Mortgage Offerings from Local Banks
The BWPO has chosen Citizens Bank and Boston Private Bank and Trust Company as preferred mortgage providers for the BWPO. The BWPO and the two banks will send a joint mailing to members outlining the special discounts on mortgage, home equity and banking services that will be available. A dedicated customer service line will also be offered. If physicians choose to get mortgages with either bank, they can expect to get discounts on closing costs and rate reductions as well as dedicated customer service. If physicians have questions about the program before the official roll out, they should contact Andrew Sussman, MD or Karen Sax McLoughlin. Materials detailing contacts and benefits will be distributed by mail over the next month.
Brigham and Women’s Physician Recognition Dinner Dance
This year’s BWPO/MSO Physician Recognition Dinner will take place on Saturday, November 8 at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston. Last year’s event attracted more than 600 guests. The event is an opportunity to recognize physicians for their outstanding patient care contributions. Service awards will be presented to physicians who have contributed 5, 10, 15 and other increments of five years of service. In addition, the BWPO will again be presenting specific merit awards based on the areas of clinical collaboration, community service, innovation and leadership. Nominees for these awards are recommended by peers. A selection committee, made up of BWPO clinicians, makes the final decisions. Formal invitations to the dinner will be sent out shortly. Look for other details via email, mail and future issues of BWH Medical Staff News.
