On February 3, 2002, I was a victim in a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident that left me seriously injured. The first thing I said to the EMTs in the ambulance was “take me to the Brigham.” I knew that I was coming home to a family of nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, radiology technologists and pharmacists with whom I've worked side-by-side for nearly 15 years.
The continuous overflow of love and support I have received at BWH when I arrived in the ED, in the Operating Room and during my recovery on Tower 7D is overwhelming. I am confident that the high quality care I received will lead me to a full recovery.
Thank you specifically to Chief Nursing Officer Nancy Kruger, nursing administration, nurse manager Karyl Davenport, multiple nursing supervisors, and all the staff nurses who were responsible for my care. The strength of our nursing community is very much visible in the individuals who have donated their vacation time to me without hesitation. Words cannot describe how much all of this means to me.
Sincerely,
Suzanne M. Kelly
