The Center for Excellence in Nursing Practice is proud to welcome Diane Lancaster, RN, PhD, as Nursing Research Program Manager. Her areas of research have focused on coping with health threats and the measurement of nursing outcomes as they relate to provision of quality care. Lancaster and Carolyn Hayes, RN, PhD, are the center’s two ProgramManagers.
One of Lancaster’s goals is to work with staff and leadership groups throughout the Nursing department in an effort to define research that will impact nursing practice issues. She and Carolyn will also focus on grant writing to support and continue the development of their own programs of research, and assist staff with the same .
“I’m very excited about this opportunity,” said Lancaster. “This is a great time to be here, as the center develops and gets off the ground. It is wonderful to be part of an organization that is committed to developing the research function so close to the patient bedside.”
Lancaster comes to the center from Tufts Health Plan, where she was the manager of Research and Publications.
