Every year, the challenges facing health care seem to get steeper. Every year, the physicians and surgeons of this hospital are up to the task. I am confident that as the impact of new regulations, new mandates and an uncertain financial environment combine to deflate others in the field, we will continue to be innovators. That characteristic is at the core of this institution’s history.

As we enter a new fiscal year, we will focus on making BWH even safer for our patients and be more attentive to the demands of those patients and their families.
