Nadine Dixon, BSN, RN, of Tower 14CD, received the UMass Boston Clinical Leadership Collaborative for Diversity in Nursing Scholarship to Advance Workforce Diversity. Dixon will graduate in May from the UMass graduate nursing program.

Margaret Costello, PhD, RN, Hallie Greenberg, BSN, MS-PREP, RN, BC, Caprie Bell, BSN, RN, and Jennefer Trowers-Smith, RN, published “Management of the Hospitalized Patient Experiencing Acute on Chronic Pain” in the journal Pain Management Nursing.
Joan Deary, RN, and Cynthia Jodoin, RN, presented the abstract “Wellness Day for Hematology/Oncology/Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Staff,” during the 37th annual Oncology Nursing Society Congress meeting in New Orleans in May.
“Beyond Pouching: Developing and Implementing a Comprehensive Ostomy Educational Program” a poster by Diane Bryant, MS, RN, CWOCN; Ilene Fleischer, MS, RN, CWOCN; Jacqueline MacNeil, MSN, RN, ACNS; Sarah Thompson, MSN, RN; and Mary Willis, MS, RN, CWOCN, was accepted for presentation at the 2012 Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society Conference to be held in Charlotte, NC, in June.
MICU clinical educator Carol Daddio Pierce, MSN, RN, CCRN, presented “To Turn or Not to Turn: Critical Decision Making Utilizing a Therapeutic Repositioning Risk Assessment Tool,” during the Horizon’s 2012-The New England AACN conference in Springfield, Mass.
Sarah Beth Given, BSN, RN, and Vince Vacca MSN, RN, CCRN, of the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, presented “When your LVAD patient has a Cerebral Hemorrhage,” at the Greater Boston Chapter AACN and Regis College School of Nursing and Health Professions annual Emerging Trends Impacting Critical Care Nursing Leaders in April.

Doreen Landry |
Doreen Landry, BSN, RN, nurse in-charge on CWN-7, was elected to the Board of Directors as a member at large for the Society of Gynecologic Nurse Oncologists. Landry also completed her BSN from Emmanuel College in December.
