A dedicated group of volunteers and staff with BWH’s PROMESA program need no tutorial on what it means to spread goodwill and give back to others. Providing medical care in Honduras, this team of clinicians spends each day combating a variety of socioeconomic barriers to provide increased access to health care for the people of Honduras. In an effort to chronicle their work and educate others about the program, PROMESA was awarded a digital camera from the Friends of BWH.
“The camera is invaluable,” said Linda Jo Stern, MPH, director, PROMESA. “We use it for documentation, to maintain contact with our donors and volunteers, and for student seminars and training. We have taken over 100 photos already, a few of which made their way to the national newspaper, La Tribuna, which featured an extensive article on our program.”
