The Center for Faculty Development and Diversity recently was inaugurated to address career and professional development of BWH faculty at all levels, with a specific focus on the careers of women, underrepresented minorities and junior faculty. In addition, an Office for Postdoctoral and Research Career Development was formed.
“This center provides an infrastructure to recruit, retain, nurture and advance the careers of BWH faculty,” said Barbara Bearer, MD, senior vice-president of Research, who will co-direct the new center with Andy Whittemore, MD, chief medical officer.
