The Brigham and Women's Physicians Organization (BWPO) and Medical Staff Organization (MSO) co-hosted the 2004 Brigham and Women's Physician Recognition Dinner at the Fairmont Copley Plaza on November 13.
Chairman of the Board for the BWPO Steven Seltzer, MD, and BWH President Gary L. Gottlieb, MD, MBA both offered welcoming remarks, which set the tone for award presentations. MSO staff with increments of five years of service-from five to 50 years-were honored. Drs. Harold J. Kosasky and Joseph Dorsey were both honored for 40 years of service. Fifty year honorees included Drs. Arthur Hall, Thomas O’Brien and John Hubbell.
The formal part of the evening continued with the presentation of the BWPO Physician Recognition Awards by BWPO President and CEO Troyen Brennan, MD. The Clinical Collaboration awards were presented to Drs. J. Stephen Bohan and Edward Bromfield; the Clinical Community Service awards were given to Drs. Phyllis Jen and Chi-Cheng Huang; the Clinical Innovation awards went to Drs. Bhavani Kodali and Elizabeth Stewart; and the Clinical Leadership awards were bestowed upon Drs. Michael Lambert and Samuel Goldhaber.
Remarks and presentations gave way to dinner and dancing to round out the much anticipated annual event
