New Administrative Director of Brigham and Women's Hospital Primary Care Practices
Elizabeth “Lisa” Whittemore, MSW, MPH, this month began as the administrative director of Brigham and Women's Hospital Primary Care practices. Whittemore comes to BWH after more than five years as the chief operating officer of the Fenway Community Health Center.
In her new post at BWH, Whittemore serves as the top administrator for BWH's 11 primary care practices, including Brookside Community and Southern Jamaica Plain health centers.
“Lisa has fantastic experience working with physicians in varied environments for approximately 20 years, and her extensive background will be extremely helpful for our primary care physicians and our patients,” Robert Goldszer, MD, MBA, BWH associate chief medical officer and director of Primary Care, said. “Her focus on performance, excellence and service is exactly what we were looking for to continue improving our BWH practices,” he added.
Whittemore, a resident of Hopkinton, holds two master's degrees, one in social work from Smith's School of Social Work in Northampton and the second in public health from Harvard.
“I'm excited to have a role at a health care leader like BWH, closely-aligning the missions of primary care and community health centers as we extend services to tens of thousands of patients,” Whittemore said.
