John Reilly, MD, last month was named vice chair for Integrated Clinical Services in the Department of Medicine, where he will develop and implement an integrated plan for clinical growth. He will coordinate the department’s multiple inpatient medical services and oversee medical quality assurance activities to ensure patients continue receiving optimal care. This involves maintaining and emphasizing medical services to provide high quality care to patients and mentoring relationships for residents, and establishing a safe, efficient environment for physicians, nurses and staff.
“We are very excited about Dr. Reilly assuming this new role and look forward to his leading the inpatient clinical services for the Department of Medicine,” Joseph Loscalzo, MD, PhD, chairman of the Department of Medicine, said.
Reilly joined BWH in 1987 after earning his MD from Harvard Medical School and completing his medical residency and fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at BWH. In addition to his new position, Reilly will continue as acting chief of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
