Cafe Closed 9 p.m. Tuesday to 5:30 a.m. Wednesday
The entire cafeteria, including the dining areas in Pods A and B and the area that includes the vending machines, will close to staff, patients and visitors for maintenance at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20. The vending machines and seating area will reopen at 5:30 a.m. and staff will resume serving food at 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21. “We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience,” said Karen Purdy-Reilly, director of Food Services.
Portions of Francis Street will be closed Saturday, Feb. 17, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., while construction crews install the steel frame for the connector bridge between 75 Francis St. and the Shapiro Center. Francis Street will be closed between Binney Street and St. Alban’s Road, and traffic will be rerouted to Vining Street. Join Information Systems Training for demonstrations of the new features available in Microsoft Office 2003. The next session is March 1 at One Brigham Circle, 4th floor conference rooms. To celebrate Black History Month at BWH, AMMP (Association of Multicultural Members of Partners) offers “Those Who Paved the Way” in recognition and remembrance of the life and work of African American men and women who have paved the way for many. AMMP will be stationed outside of the BWH Cafeteria between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20; Thursday, Feb. 22; Monday, Feb. 26; and Wednesday, Feb. 28.
