Cafeteria Closed 9 p.m. Monday to 5:30 a.m. Tuesday
The entire Cafeteria, including the dining areas in Pods A and B and the area that includes the vending machines, will close to staff, patients and visitors for maintenance at 9 p.m. on Monday, May 21. The vending machines and seating area will reopen at 5:30 a.m., and staff will resume serving food at 6:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22. Food Services apologizes for any inconvenience and appreciates your understanding and patience.
Respiratory Therapy is one of the fastest growing fields in health care, and Workforce Development is hosting an information session May 22, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., One Brigham Circle, Room 4-002H, to provide more information. Entering a Respiratory Therapy education program makes you eligible for the BWH Education Financial Assistance Program, where you could receive up to $10,000 toward your education. Delta Dental will mail plan participants and covered family members new ID cards that feature a system-generated ID in place of Social Security numbers. Discard old cards and begin using the new one immediately. Show your dentist the new card to update your records. Contact Delta Dental customer service at 800-872-0500 with questions.
The Archive Lecture Series presents “Frederick C. Irving, MD- Reflections and Reminisces of my Father” by Rebecca B. Irving, BS, MT; and “The Early History of Boston Lying-In Hospital” by Raymond J. Reilly, MBBCH, BAO, BWH Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology, on May 22, 5-6 p.m., in the Bornstein Amphitheater. A reception follows in Cabot Atrium.

The 34th annual public awareness day is May 25, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., in the 75 Francis St., Lobby to bring together local communities and medical personnel and to publicize safety. This event also honors the dedication of EMTs and paramedics who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of the medical field.
