Patient Safety Week Events:
March 8 – 12: Visit an information table for staff outside Shop on the Pike with patient safety resources, giveaways and a raffle for an iPod.
March 9: "Integrating Safety and Efficiency: Making Patient Care Easier," is the next Quality Rounds topic, at noon, in the Anesthesia Conference Room. Presenters include Allen Kachalia, MD, Karen Fiumara, PharmD, Marcy Carty, MD, MPH, Diane Lancaster, RN, PhD, Amy L. Miller, MD, PhD, and Jason Ryan.
March 10: “Let’s Talk: Healthy Conversation for Safer Health Care, hosted by Mary Merriam, senior consultant for Patient Safety, in the Kessler Library. A workshop from noon to 1 p.m. and a drop-in session from 1 to 2 p.m. will focus on tips to help patients improve communication with their health care team.
