Dave Seaver, RPh, JD, risk manager in the Compliance and Risk Management Department, was named this year’s Nathan Goldberg Award recipient, one of the Massachusetts Pharmacists Association’s (MPhA) highest honors.
Seaver was honored for outstanding service to the profession of pharmacy and his efforts of furthering the advancement of pharmacists, specifically his contributions to the passage of recent legislation that enhances the practice of pharmacists in Massachusetts and improves patient care. With this new law, pharmacists will prescribe medications under a supervising physician.
In addition, Seaver has been involved in an array of activities advocating for the profession, including serving as chair of the legislative committee for the Massachusetts Society of Health-System Pharmacists (MSHP) and assisting with many legislative and regulatory initiatives that MSHP has worked on together with MPhA.
