Lesley Solomon, MBA, was appointed director of Strategy and Innovation for the Biomedical Research Institute.
In her new role, Solomon aims to increase awareness of the depth and breadth of research at BWH, both internally and externally. She will partner with Marketing & Planning, Development, Communication & Public Affairs and Research, Ventures and Licensing to help provide a clear voice and strong identity for the research community and create new funding opportunities to sustain the research enterprise.
Solomon previously served as director of e-philanthropy in the BWH Development Office, where she developed the hospital’s first online fundraising strategy and launched the Stork Fund to support healthy pregnancies and babies. Solomon also has served in leadership positions for companies including Yoga Works and Gather.com, where she focused on marketing, business development, strategy and communications.
Solomon earned her master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School and her bachelor’s from Cornell University.
