Reputation/Communications is one of three pillars of Partners HealthCare's Strategic Initiative. One aspect of the work of the Reputation/Communications team is to educate the public and health care influencers about the role Partners plays in offering solutions to the complex problems facing health care.
As part of this effort, Partners recently launched a highly visible advertising campaign that illustrates how it is taking on health care's toughest challenges through leadership and innovation, building the workforce of the future and improving patient care quality, access and affordability.
With slogans including "From making do to making a difference" and "From a job to a career," the campaign theme highlights Partners' and its institutions' progress and success on everything from team-based care and access to community health centers to cutting-edge research and workforce development programs that educate and empower employees and community members. BWH's Rhonda Maloney (at right)-who took advantage of Partners in Career and Workforce Development (PCWD) to work toward her current position in Radiology and reach her professional goals-is featured in the campaign.
As in previous years, each ad provides a link to connectwithpartners.org, which was developed to provide Partners with a direct, external voice to reach opinion and thought leaders across the state and nation, as well as patients, employees, staff and the community at large. New topics are posted on the site frequently. While the majority of messages relate to issues of cost and quality, the site enables rapid response and the opportunity to engage in dialogue about broader health care issues.
These ads will be shared across various media-including major Boston and other large daily newspapers, radio stations, display advertising around the city and online-through December.
"In many ways, the work of our doctors, nurses and care providers speaks so eloquently for itself," said Partners President and CEO Gary Gottlieb, MD. "But we believe it is important to reinforce the notion that, in addition to providing the best care possible each and every day across our system, Partners has a leadership role to play in the evolution of the nation's health care system, and we are making great progress."
