Medina Named Transplant and AHD Ambulatory Nurse Director
Danika Medina, MPA, BSN, RN, NE-BC, CCTC, was recently named ambulatory nurse director for BWH Transplant Administration and the Center for Advanced Heart Disease. An experienced nurse leader, Medina last served as the nurse manager for Transplant Clinical and Business Operations at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas.
She has also held roles at Methodist Hospital in Houston and Methodist Sugar Land Hospital in Texas as thoracic transplant coordinator and manager of the Catheterization Lab and Observation Unit. In these positions, Medina has worked with nurses and inter-professional teams to enhance practice and processes that improve patient care. She has also worked on compliance and accreditation efforts, patient satisfaction, process improvement and program growth initiatives.
She received her MPA in health care administration from the University of Texas at Tyler and her BSN from the University of Houston.
