BWH Announces Lily Kravitz Award Winners
The Center for Excellence in Nursing Practice in December awarded the annual Lily Kravitz Nursing Studies Awards for three research proposals. The award, now in its 11th year, funds nursing projects that ultimately enhance quality of care, increase patient satisfaction and empower patients, families and caregivers.
This year’s winners are Nicki Gilboy, RN, MS, CEN, for the project “Sedation and Analgesia for Intubated and Mechanically Ventilated Patients in the Emergency Department;” Ludwine Jean-Jacques, RN, for “Understanding and Treating Heart Failure for Patients and Families; and Escel Stanghellini, RN, for “Reducing Night Time Noise Level for Oncology Patients Through Implementation of Noise Reduction Guidelines.” Gilboy, Jean-Jacques and Stanghellini will work with multidisciplinary groups on their projects.
Arthur Kravitz, MD, Department of Psychiatry, who passed away this year, established this award in honor of his mother.
