BWH and Faulkner employees have access to 1,320 free tickets for the Partners giant screen film, "Wired to Win: Surviving the Tour de France," now playing at the Mugar Omni Theater at the Museum of Science (MOS) in Boston. The film is a magnificent chronicle of the beautiful and grueling bicycle race, and Partners produced it to serve as an educational vehicle to explain the workings of the human brain and to stimulate interest in young people to pursue careers in science and biomedicine. Gary Gottlieb, MD, MBA, BWH president; Dennis Selkoe, MD, BWH neurologist and founder of the Partners Program of Excellence in Alzheimer's and Neurodegenerative Diseases; and Martin A. Samuels, MD, BWH chair of Neurology, served as science advisors to the film. It is truly a tour de force and perfectly suited for children 10 and older and adults. As a benefit, Partners is offering free tickets to all BWH and Faulkner hospital staff and their families for screenings on Sunday, Feb. 5. Show times are 3, 4, 5, and 6 p.m. Reservations are required. E-mail wiredtowin@partners.org, or call 617-278-0199. Include the name of your hospital, date, preferred show time, and the number of tickets requested. You will receive confirmation of your film screening, and your names will be on the admission list at the MOS. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Employees and staff can also inquire about alternative dates if unable to attend the Feb. 5 shows.
