Dear Colleagues:

The BW/F Strategic Plan is built upon major themes that directly impact us. The plan presents ways to expand clinical services throughout our distributed campus. Our role will be critical in building demand for these new offerings through strong referral relationships. Providing added medical service to the community also requires our ongoing commitment towards efficiency measures such as improved patient flow and length of stay.

While many medical institutions have similar strategies, BW/F has opportunities to differentiate service offerings through innovation, quality and patient safety, and service excellence. Additionally, the plan stresses quality of work life - to make BW/F the employer of choice. To achieve success in these arenas, collaboration among department chairs, division chiefs, clinicians and researchers is paramount. The plan will help ensure that BW/F remains the standard other hospitals strive to replicate.
