Dear Colleagues:

The eMAR implementation process is scheduled to begin on floors 8, 9 and 10 in the Connors Center on November 8, and by the end of 2005, nearly all inpatient areas of BWH will be on-line with eMAR. Once training is completed, eMAR will eventually add efficiency for all members of the patient care team as it brings automated patient information and drug administration directly to the bedside.

We hope to gain much knowledge from our early implementation experience in the Connors Center. We appreciate the input from obstetricians/gynecologists in developing and tailoring the templates to help this process along and smooth the way for the first clinicians to use this important tool. I encourage all obstetricians/ gynecologists to continue to provide feedback as we move forward with broader implementation over the next year.
