Charles Morris, MD, of Brigham Circle Medical Associates, was honored with the second annual Thomas H. Lee MD Award for Excellence in Primary Care this spring for his outstanding dedication to patients and superb clinical care.
Named in honor of Thomas H. Lee, MD, a primary care physician at the Phyllis Jen Center for Primary Care, the award honors physicians, celebrates successes and inspires others to pursue careers in primary care. Herbert W. Vaughan, a patient of Lee’s, is the donor who made this award possible. One of the top real estate lawyers in Boston, he is credited with being among a handful of real estate experts who planned, developed and created today’s Boston skyline.
Morris received the award at the annual Herbert Vaughan Professorship in Internal Medicine lecture with Barbara Starfield, MD, MPH, of Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, who spoke on the role of primary care in health care reform.
