Dear Colleagues:
With the results of the most recent U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll now in, I want to offer my congratulations to you for making it possible for BWH to be among the nation’s leading hospitals.
BWH continues to be a national leader, ranking among the top 10 hospitals in the specialties of cardiology/cardiac surgery, hormonal disorders, gynecology, kidney disease, orthopedics, and rheumatology. BWH also ranked among the nation’s best in five other categories, including digestive disorders, geriatrics, neurology/neurosurgery, respiratory disease, and urology.
We continue to attract the very best and brightest physicians, nurses, techs, pharmacists and support staff and that talent manifests itself in the work we do every hour on the hour. I am very proud to be associated with so many remarkable people.
As we continue to push the envelope and introduce innovative approaches to care while translating the findings from bench research into bedside therapies, we should all take a brief moment to reflect on our successes. And, as we welcome the newest members of our team, the residents and fellows who join us from all over the nation and the world, I am confident that we face an exciting future that will carry on this proud legacy of achievement.
Sincerely,

Lawrence H. Cohn, MD
Chairman, BWPO
