Jodoin Receives Leadership Award

Cindy Jodoin, MHA, BS, RN, received the Thomas M. Kloss Leadership Award for her leadership and work to promote and foster BWH’s mission and core values.
“I’m honored to receive this recognition, but it couldn’t be possible without the help and dedication of my colleagues,” said Jodoin, nurse manager of Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant.
The Thomas M. Kloss Leadership Award is awarded to a nurse who fosters a team atmosphere, partners with nurses, physicians and patient care assistants to provide the best care for patients.
Carolyn Hayes, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, director of BWH Oncology Nursing and Clinical Services, and DFCI director of Patient and Family Programs, said there is no better candidate to receive the award than Jodoin.
“She understands illness and suffering, what promotes effective healing, models trust, respect and integrity,” said Hayes. “She also motivates and inspires others.”
In addition to her leadership of nursing and clinical services on 6A and 6C, Jodoin demonstrates her commitment to nursing practice as co- chair of BWH’s nursing Standards, Policies and Procedures Committee.
Jodoin, a nurse for 20 years, received the award during the DF/BWCC & DFCHCC Annual NPCS Celebration in April.
