Rugwizangoga Named Team Heart’s First Global Nurse Scholar

Egidia Rugwizangoga, BSN, RN, of Tower 12A, has been named Team Heart’s first Global Nurse Scholar and Nurse Exchange. Ruwizangoga will travel to her home country of Rwanda as part of Team Heart’s effort to address the burden of rheumatic heart disease.
Team Heart is a volunteer organization comprised of physicians, nurses, perfusionists respiratory therapists, sonographers and non-medical personnel, founded and based at BWH. The vision of Team Heart is to create a comprehensive program for the eradication of rheumatic heart disease in Rwanda. Team Heart gratefully acknowledges support from The Medicines Company and BWH to make this first Team Heart Global Nurse Scholar and Nurse Exchange possible.
