Kahlert Says Farewell

Terry Kahlert, MS, RN, director of Cardiovascular and Medical Nursing, will be leaving BWH in late March to pursue doctoral studies. Her many contributions and effective leadership over nearly 20 years will be sorely missed.

Kahlert first came to BWH as a nurse manager of the Surgical Oncology and Cardiology Unit in 1980. She later served as assistant director of Medical Nursing, director of Nursing Quality, director of Medical/Surgical Nursing and her current role as director of Cardiovascular and Medical Nursing.

During her tenure here, Kahlert was influential in implementing numerous patient care programs.“We will miss Terry's tireless energy and steadfast commitment to achieve the highest standards of practice that have benefited both our patients and staff,” said Nancy Kruger, RN, DNSc, chief nursing officer.
