Tower 14 Family Center Opening

An attractive new family center now welcomes families as they get off the elevator on Tower 14, the culmination of a long-held vision by many at BWH to improve care for families as well as patients. A glass wall makes the spacious, well-lit facility open and inviting to families as they enter the floor.
The new center, which boasts many amenities to better accommodate families' needs, is the result of a close collaboration between Partners Project Manager Ronzard Innocent and Nurse Managers Cindy LeMay, MS, RN; Patricia Britta Rossi, MS, RN; Maureen Curley, MS, RN; Terry Kahlert, MS, RN, director of Cardiovascular and Medical Nursing and sponsored by Robert Goldszer, MD, MBA, associate chief medical officer and director of Primary Care and Nancy Kruger, DNSc, RN, vice president, Patient Care Services and chief nursing officer.
Kruger commended the project manager and nursing staff at the center's official opening this week. “They worked extremely well together to identify what families need when a loved one is hospitalized, and to design a space to their benefit. It is a model we hope to replicate in other areas over time.”
